"Salmon took up photography 10 years ago and started work on his book six years ago after being commissioned to take a photo for a cafe in his home town of Kiama.
He was so pleased with the end result he set out to capture the beauty of the entire South Coast - from Wollongong to the Victorian border - for all to enjoy.

Salmon said the book was aimed more at local residents than the tourist market and was his way of giving something back to the local community.

He and writer Shaun Whale have taken a very clever approach in the structure of the beautifully oversized coffee table book, in that none of the locations for the striking images are ever revealed -- instead, they've left coded visual and written clues to let readers decipher each mystery for themselves.
